Who is Kissy Missy?
In terms of appearance, she is a tall, thin creature with thickly growing pink fur. She has a blue bow, her hands and feet are yellow, and her overall appearance is similar to another character in the game called Huggy Wuggy.
She is markedly different from the other toys on the show, who are seen to be quite hostile. She is not only much less aggressive but also quite benign and helpful towards the player character, even assisting them in opening the gate door on the other side. In Chapter 3, she helps the player again.
But, that’s really not all. She does have a dark side to her; as in Hour of Joy, she murdered the train workers while on the way to Playcare. But that is still largely an exception to the character. Soon afterward, she returned to her original position, which shows that she did not fully participate in the rebellion.
And that is really no surprise since Kissy Missy is shown to not really like Playcare. She mistakes the player for a threat and is about to murder them, sparing them only after a request from Poppy Playtime.
So, her character is largely a grey one, alternating between good and bad. But overall, she is one of the more comparatively non-violent characters on the show.
So, what happened to Kissy Missy?
Kissy appears for the last time in Poppy Playtime’s Chapter 3. At the end of the chapter, Poppy is shown telling Kissy to send some characters in the game down on the lift.
But as the lift goes down, shrieking and scuffling are heard, implying she was attacked or kidnapped. Both Poppy and the player try to save her, but Kissy is never seen again. What happened to her, therefore, is largely unknown and remains a mystery.
Some players assume that she is dead and that she will not be returning as a character in future chapters if they are released. However, others feel that she has been kidnapped but is still alive, retaining chances for her return. What do you think?
