Dolph Ziggler is unquestionably one of WWE’s most entertaining superstars and top performers. Recently, he revealed that Vince McMahon (former CEO of WWE) wanted him to remain forever with WWE before his departure. Vince knew his value as he was undeniably the top performer and captured the audience like no other superstar.
He left WWE in September 2023 and surprised many fans with his decision. Vince has a backstage position for him and encourages him to stay with the company. Dolph’s real name is Nic Nemeth and he has devoted 20 years of his life to WWE establishing an unforgettable image.
In the recent interview of Dolph Ziggler with ECW legend Francine on “Eyes Up Here” he revealed that Vince wanted him to stay permanently with the company. But Doplh had another ambition that he wanted to explore outside of WWE, he always cherished his wrestling and entertaining moments so let us know what else he mentioned in the interview.
Vince McMahon had plans ready for Dolph’s backstage participation in WWE, offered him to be with them in the meetings, and then a permanent stay with the company. Pete Rose was an example of what Vince wanted Dolph to become within the WWE but Dolph still decided to leave WWE to explore something different.
He described his time with WWE as a memorable experience, during which he learned a great deal. He appreciated the opportunities that came his way throughout his career, but he felt that his full potential was not being realized. Despite his numerous championships (two-time World Heavyweight Champion, Intercontinental Champion on six occasions, and consistent upper-midcard performer), he chose to leave WWE to pursue new opportunities.
Currently, he is in TNA and is one of the top TNA stars. He debuted in TNA in January and climbed the top position very fast as he is a highly experienced wrestler and entertainer. It looks like he is enjoying his time in TNA for being the top performer and it doesn’t look like he has any plans to return to WWE.
Wrestling outside WWE was his motive to reject Vince McMahon’s offer. He is currently 43 years old and it could have been easier for him to work backstage in WWE but his passion for wrestling and exploring something new made him join TNA.
