Bridgerton Season 3: Unknown Facts and Behind-the-Scene Secrets

Look for Penelope's new look, interesting filming facts, and a hidden meaning in the title.

Bridgerton Season 3 is here and it’s filled with drama, drama, and more drama! From steamy romances to shocking transformations and cast changes, learn about the off-camera facts that make this season the most scandalous one.

Juicy Behind-the-Scene Facts

The transformation of Penelope during this season was greatly influenced by the beauty of Rita Hayworth and Jessica Rabbit. She had to change her appearance drastically to show that she was rebelling against her mother’s words. Penelope’s new look is apt for the character development. Changing her hairstyle from tight pin curls to loose waves and changing her clothes from orange and yellow to green and blue, it’s all working and how.

Shooting sensual scenes can take up to six hours and may involve the use of props like bouncy balls and foam pads. Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton revealed that they damaged some props during the filming of a passionate love scene. Unfortunately, the angry scene was omitted from the final cut, but the tension in the shots and the emotions portrayed by the actors effectively enriched the performance.

Francesca Bridgerton had to be recast because Ruby Stokes could not do the role as she was busy with another show at that time. The actress for the role of Francesca was selected after reviewing hundreds of audition tapes. Of all the characters in the series, Francesca’s storyline would span the seasons. This season only teases her arc, making the audience eager to see more of her character development in the following seasons.

The newly decorated and rented apartments for Anthony and Kate in the Bridgerton house look good in the color that best suits both of them. The colors that will be most prominent are the pastel shades of the Bridgerton signature light blue, cream, and champagne, and the warm shades of the Sharma palette that was introduced in Season 2.

The writers made sure that the relationship between Penelope and Eloise was as intense as any romantic split. The plot focuses on the issues of loneliness, which are childhood friendships, and how they can withstand the changes of the generation.

Were you aware of the change of the title of this season to grab your attention? It also makes the twist all the more juicy for the viewer who got it, even with the slight alteration of the wording. There are butterflies frequently this season—the Featheringtons! It is also important to mention that they can be seen in props, settings, or costumes, which gives a creative vision of the family’s history.

Since there were no advertisements, they had to divide the season in two after the shooting. As much as the enthusiasts may get annoyed and hungry waiting for the program to come back on, Jess Brownell claims that the second half of the season will be worth the wait.
